Life isn’t always easy after a deployment. That’s where Vet Centers can help. Vet Centers across the country provide a broad range of counseling, outreach, and referral services to combat Veterans and their families. Vet Centers guide Veterans and their families through many of the major adjustments in lifestyle that often occur after a Veteran returns from combat. Services for a Veteran may include individual and group counseling in areas such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), alcohol and drug assessment, and suicide prevention referrals. Our veterans services programs focus on helping you find safe, permanent housing first. Then, our case managers work one-on-one with you to set a plan to enable — and empower — a successful transition to productive and healthy civilian living.

United Way 211 

United Way 2-1-1 also has a full-time veterans navigator, a veteran himself, who works one-on-one with our military veterans who call in needing resources to help them with housing, employment, health issues and support. Our United Way 2-1-1 Online database also offers a separate section specifically for veterans’ needs.

H.E.R.O.E.S Care

H.E.R.O.E.S. Care is a collaborative effort among well non-governmental organizations (NGOs) designed to provide complete and proactive support for members of all branches of the military and their families through pre-deployment, deployment, family reintegration and post-deployment.

Narcotics Anonymous
